I’ve always been a fan of the modular and customizable design of the Jeep platform, which has led me to purchasing a Jeep Gladiator in December of 2020. Once I got the utilitarian vehicle that I’ve always wanted, I knew that upgrading its audio system would be the first of many Fab Lab endeavors I wanted to explore.

During the summer of 2019, I decided to purchase my very 1st CNC machine to use in my home. My hopes were to start a new hobby in fabricating electronic devices, so I can learn more about its design workflow and to spark new ideas for my Fab Lab courses.

At Trinity High School, one of the most exciting capabilities for me to learn was how students could sand caste aluminum molds that they would machine down into precise parts. I knew that I needed to explore this sand-casting procedure myself with a unique design that I could draw up myself.
